FDS is your best advocate.
We are cheerleaders for our candidates. We provide individual hands-on job search preparation and strategy — counseling candidates about which schools will best suit their interests and needs. FDS is a confidential "safe space" to discuss professional issues and career aspirations. We stay in close touch with our candidates throughout the hiring season and support our placed candidates through their first two years at their new institution..
FDS is your job search resource.
We fine-tune resumes and cover letters with our candidates and even role-play to prepare for interviews and demonstration lessons. We hold substantive professional development sessions for individuals interested in developing and expanding their careers in education. We co-sponsor a job fair to promote diversity in hiring every February with the New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS). We know independent schools, and we know whom they need in their community.
